TH Group practises good Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and commits to uphold the interest of our stakeholders in the workplace, community and the environment.
Through our palm oil mill in Sabah, the Group supports the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) by participating in the Carbon Credit Program, and making concerted efforts to reduce greenhouse gases (GHGs) emission, thus promoting a cleaner environment for the community.
TH Group recognises the importance of employees' welfare, and strives to improve on the quality of life for all, by putting in place various educational and career advancement programs, including lauguage courses for the plantation workers, and leadership & team challenge workshops for all employees.
In addition, social and recreational activities are frequently organised to encourage employees' interaction, as well as to cultivate team spirit amongst the employees. Meanwhile, the Group also ensures a healthy workplace, by providing a clean and safe working environment for all employees.
In line with TH Group's policy and its CSR initiatives, the Group continues to contribute to the less fortunate community. In year 2006, TH Group employees organised several charity and fund-raising activities, including an annual blood-donation drive, as well as a visit to the Yayasan Sunbeams Home for the underpriviledged children in Kuala Lumpur.
